A day to remember always 9/11/2001

I'm posting this up to both of my non-fiction blogs, because not only is this a day to remember always, but on the political side, the idiots over at Fox have decided that this would be a good day to actually forget the meaning of what happened and try to attack the President. Personally I happen to hate what they did, but I really am one just for remembering the events that took place that day and all of the lives that were lost.

Now even though I know that this day will never become a national holiday, I honestly believe it best if we were to just have this day as a holiday to ourselves instead of trying to make it an official holiday, which I doubt it's ever going to become any time soon.

These images above, I got from different sources on Facebook:  Superman: Man of Steel (2013)'s photo.,  We love to irritate hateful Republicans's photo.,  I will vote for Obama in 2012.'s photo.,  TeabonicsJeremy Darko's photo.,  Patti Lever's photo., and  100 Percent FED Up, these are the ones that shared the photos above with everyone on Facebook and I thank you all for them.

The Movies from this past week

I did go and see Expendable 2 this past Labor day weekend, and I've got to say that the movie was great, not epic, but just great. You had action stars that you never thought that you would ever see all together in one movie, and even lines hinting at other peoples movies that they were in in the first place. Now as you've tended to notice I don't go into great details when it comes to the entertainment that I happen to see or read because I want you folks, the ones that read this blog, to actually check everything out for yourself, yes that's the type of person that I happen to be where I want you to not only check out what I see, read and review, but at the same time decide for your self if you happen to like it. Personally I've never been one where I'm telling a person if they should go see it, however there's only one exception to that rule, and that was when the Avengers movie came out earlier this year. Now the only reason why I changed the rule for that movie, was only because of how hot and amazing it was, and others that I talked to agreed about it as well.

Now this movie here is one that if you've seen the first one, you pretty much understand this one here, it's even for the ones that haven't seen the first one. But every (and I seriously mean EVERY) big name in action movies is in this movie here, and how and where they bring them in is the fun part (which I won't and can't say either way). However I honestly think that for every action movie that has ever been made, there was a bullet or explosion for it in this movie here.

Over all this is one movie that if you want to see it, then you should, but I seriously wouldn't go rushing out to the movie to catch this one, it's actually better off catching on DVD when it comes out, because either way right now, it's just not seriously worth it in the least.

I'm currently reading "I, Michael Bennett" and then will be reading "Star Trek Voyager: Children of the Storm" and I will let you know  how those two books turn out, till then my friends.

On DVD, one good, one not so good

Saw two DVD movies recently and here's my review of them, though what you take of it will be up to you.

The first movie that I saw was Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, and while it wasn't like the first movie that they made, it was partly staying consistent. Once again Nick Cage brought the Rider to life and this time he was doing so because of a prophesy that had foretold that he would be the one to protect a child from becoming the new devil himself. Great visual effects and this time the Rider got to bring several things to life, all of which served to help the Rider beat any enemies that he came across, and during the entire movie the Rider only spoke once. The one difference between this movie and the first one was that he fed on souls in this movie and didn't judge them like he did in the first one. Personally I see that as only something minor and not really that big of an issue, but it would be something worth seeing once again if I would.

Now the second movie that I saw, Chronicle, that is a must avoid at all cost movie, it was bad right from the start, and never got better. When the teens gained their powers, you knew that something was going to happen when it came to the kid that was getting beaten by his father constantly, that right there was just the boiler point that would set him off, that and the fact that his mother was dying and the father was constantly blaming the son for it, which he shouldn't have been doing in the first place, however when you happen to have a drunk father, you know bad things are going to go down. Yeah from start to finish this one was that bad.

Right now I'm in the middle of watching several more DVD's and will also be eventually watching Expendables 2, of which all of them I will be reviewing for you all to check out or not to check out, let it be your own choice.

My World of the latest entertainment

I'll tell you this, between working like crazy doing my sign dancing things (of which I'm still working on trying to get a video recording of me actually doing the dancing out there, and so far no one wants to help with that at all, but I'm still trying), I'm constantly thinking about my blog and trying to get everything going with this and the YouTube side of the whole deal. Not that easy mind you.

I did go to one show that took place here in Martinez this past Saturday, the show was called Alice in Woggle-Land and it was like seen CIRQUE DU SOLEIL deal, yet only on a small stage and outside as well. The show was amazing, even though Alice never said anything once, which actually surprised me, but beyond that it was something that was great. The one part of the show that I actually liked (and videoed) was the light show part that was done, and that's up loaded to YouTube as well (http://youtu.be/ch59_cWb5JI). Over all everything about the show was great, and I'm actually sad that the show was only one day, it would be great if it was longer than that, but that's the way things work out.

Now the one show that I'm looking forward to, is actually a movie that I will be checking out, which is Expendable 2, which the action start list that this one has, they pulled out all of the stops for this movie. I personally can't wait to check it out, and I will let you all know how things turned out for the movie.

Sorry to keep these short, but I do have places to go and things to check out if you're to get my slight reviews on anything. Till next time my friends.

The start of a new blogging time

I know that it's been a while since I had last posted anything, even the video version of this blog has only gotten one comment in the entire short time that it had been posted (for those of you that would like to view the video: http://youtu.be/mVBRunFNnI4) and I know that my writing hasn't been seen in a long while for anything, well considering that I've been working like crazy, and all just to earn up the money for my new toy that I'm currently writing this on in the first place. I'm going to be now writing up quite a few entries and making more video blogs as well. I'm right now trying to get a music video made, but that's being a little difficult given that I can't get any help for that in the first place. But everything will be getting done in due time

And there's quite a bit of entertainment that I've been seeing and reading that I've been wanting to post up and yet haven't had the chance to actually do that at all. From both Spider-Man and Batman to a slew of books (yeah I've been reading even though I've been working like crazy, one would be surprised that I've actually found the time to do that). I will be getting back to posting everything.

So yes I'm back and this time I really damned well mean it too.

Been working

I know that I haven't posted to my blog in a while, but that's only because of the fact that I've been working my sign dancing tail off for the past several weeks, and getting things back in the proper order that they should've been in a while back. I wanted to save up for my own laptop, however the only problem with that was that until I had gotten my account with Chase back in order, I had to spend money just to get my checks cashed in the first place and that would leave me well below what I needed (also on a side note, don't bother to ever get a check cashed with Wal-martm despite being only $3, they refuse more checks than they cash). But now that everything is back to the way that it should be, I'll be saving up to get the items that I need to get in no time at all. Plus once I get them, I'll be able to put up more posts and get everyone reading again as well.

So till then... :) <3

The summer reading list

Well I know that this is a bit late getting to everyone, but hey I've been trying to get a few things done that have had to get done. Plus I also wanted to give everyone covers of the books, but the problem is that the public computer I'm currently using wont "see" my flash drives so I'm a bit out of luck on that note.

Well the books that are on the list (and I will give a short review for each of them too) are as follows: Farsighted by Emlyn Chand, Darkness of Light by Peter David, 11th Hour by James Patterson, Private Games by James Patterson, and Sir Apropos of Nothing by Peter David.

Now that first book I had just read last so I will leave that one for last and I have a reason for doing so in the first place, that is if you happen to be also following me on Twitter @thecat2643. So I will start off with the one that I read before that which is Darkness Of Light by Peter David. Now David in all of his writing glory has come up with some of the best stories of all times, from he work with Star Trek and the comics world through both Marvel and DC, and his own series that he creates, both with this book starting off the Hidden Earth Chronicles, to that of Star Trek New Frontier, yeah he's been all over the place. Well this is no exception to that rule, when the reader starts out, you're wondering what world this entire story happens to be taking place on, and as the story goes along, you slowly figure it out while learning about the different races that inhabit Damned World. Now personally I wanted to find the second book to this series since the first one was that good, however I soon discovered that Tor didn't publish the second book, actually it was published else where, and that's only after Tor sat on it in the first place. Talk about bad for a book publisher to do.

The next book after that is the latest in the Women's Murder Club series, The 11th Hour, and it's just as great as all the rest of the books that have been written in that series, and like always it will suck you right in and there will be no putting this down till you can be able to finish the book in the end. Honestly this is one book that while being the last one so far in the series, connects all the rest and still leaves it as a single book on its own there. Now another book by Patterson is part of a new series that he's doing called Private, which I honestly don't know if it's going to be turned into a series or not, I've been hearing rumors, but that's all they are is just rumors. This book takes place in the near future at this years London games, and will keep you wondering what in the world is going on till the end. However there's a slight twist to this book that starts the entire story off and it's one that should be read first before I say anything about it.

The second to last book here is also by Peter David and is the first book of a trilogy by the same name of the first book, and this one just like the rest of the books here is a must read title. From start to finish you will be laughing like crazy and wondering where he gets everything, well that is going to remain something of a mystery even to me because even I don't have a clue right there. The one thing that I've noticed of Peter David when he's writing is that even though it's like a completely different world, everything there is just like ours only slightly different in every way. This is one book that will have you (even with the maps provided at the beginning of the book) wondering where in our world this looks like it's taking place.

And last but seriously not least is Farsighted by Emlyn Chand who proves beyond anything that one can have a great book even it if happens to be self published. Now I will be doing an interview with the writer at a later date, but also what I'm wanting to do is have a video conference with her that you all can see, however I'm still working the bugs out of getting everything right there. The book is one that yes does start of slow, but kicks into high gear and doesn't let you put the book down for anything. This is one girl that knows what she wants and put everything down to words for all of us to see it. And she's also leading the way for something in the book world that should have the heavy hitting publishing companies be extremely worried about, and that's more writers going self publish than pro. I'll be covering more of this book in the interview so be on the look out for that, but for this summer, have fun reading.
