Valentine's Day, the day of love and romance

About five years ago, I could've told you that I would never be able to find someone to be with, however that's not true any more. I have gotten the love of my life back and seriously couldn't be happier right now since I'm with the one that I truly love, my wife of 14 years, Miramonte Turley-Sanchez. Yes we've had our ups and downs (hell who doesn't these days), but it's the real love that is hard to find these days, and only a few couples out there that aren't willing to head off to the Divorce Courts in a heart beat and actually work things out are actually able to know what true love really is.

Personally for the last decade I went through hell in trying to find that right someone, however I honestly believe that that right someone is Miramonte no matter what anyone says (including my own mother). Plus I honestly believe that there is a special someone out there for everyone, it's just a matter of time before one does find that right person for you (though mind you I did not put " " around right, considering that "right" is different for each person).

Now with what today is dealing with, it's only a matter of time for everything to take place, and I've been keeping an eye on Facebook today and have been seeing a lot of love on the site, people doing different things today and just being there for their loved ones constantly, it just means that love is in the air today.

However does that mean that it should stop at all, that once the day is over that the love should stop, this day just reminds us that we have that special someone in the first place, and that should be something to be counted on no matter what day of the year it is.

There are those however that don't have that special someone in their lives right now (like my mother), or end up getting rejected by the ones that they love completely, and for them, we still need to be there for them and help them through all of the pain that they're going through right now, because they will eventually find someone, it's only a matter of time.

My life in My World

I know that this is actually the second posting to this blog, but considering that I actually haven't had anything to write till now, it's completely understandable considering that the reason for this posting now is for something that I had seen and shared on Facebook, namely about the homeless, considering that I am one.

I have been homeless many many times in my life, and am currently that way right now as well. However upon seeing me, you would never know that for fact. One of the main reasons why I don't go to the only shelter in the area (which is the Concord Homeless Shelter) is because of two reasons, 1)I don't want to live several towns away from my wife (already did that living in Fresno and her living up here), and 2) they never have any space open (despite what someone happens to say other wise), they give you a meal, a sleeping bag, a number and a number to call. Plus (and here's the kicker) there's no buses out there on the weekends, and I don't have a car or driver's licence yet, though I am working on that right now.

Every time that I see someone that happens to be homeless like myself I take a good hard look at them and ask myself why they ended up in this position. Part of the time these days it's because of the bad Republican created economy that's the reason, other times it happens to be drug use like weed or crack or something else that won't let the person not only hold down both a job and a roof over their head. No matter the reason, one can see how long they've been homeless for, and personally I can see that it's never good. For the new ones they don't know what kind of world they happen to be entering at all, especially if it happens to be a family, that's what hurts me the most. Unless you've spent time in the world that I live in, you can never fully understand what I've been through. Yes having friends is great, but the kicker is trying to understand the one that happens to be living in this situation, and that's never going to be easy to do unless you spend time there.

I've already put something out before, a challenge to others, though I think I just posted it only to my blog here, and I still have no idea how many people actually read this (or any of my) blog(s) at all. After all I can only go by those that subscribe to the page, and right now the only one that happens to be subscribed is me and one other (who is only subscribed to a few of them), other wise I've no idea at all.

Yes my friends on Facebook (at least some of them that have been reading this) know what's been going on with my life, but knowing it and experiencing it are two different stories entirely. After all, you see one homeless person, often at times with out knowing his story, one makes an assumption thinking the most obvious, that they must have a mental issue or is on drugs (and often at times that is the truth too, but not always). I personally am this way because I can't live with my wife because she happens to be living with her mother and step-father (whose a Jehovah's Witness ass hole and doesn't care about anyone but himself, even got kicked out of his order for living with my mother-in-law before they got married, which as I understand it, is a MAJOR no no) and doesn't want me EVER living there. So what do I do, I sleep out in a space that I've been able to find, I have a job, and live to try to make my dreams come true. (My dreams, to not only get published (aside from the fictional story blog that I happen to have), but to own my own comic book store (for which I've started the process on), and to become a film maker and make movies). Right now I'm slowly working to get those dreams to become a reality, but on the other side that's why I keep an eye on the political side, because I know that it's that side that also going affect what I want to do in my life. Yes there's loads that I can do that don't effect me from that side, but if you think about it, if you don't vote for something, then when it doesn't happen to get enough votes (like Measure Q) then you end up losing something that you took for granted. That's why I keep an eye on everything, but I'm just one person with a blog, and I actually don't have that much power at all despite what I tend to write here. Yes I believe in the power of writing, but often at times there are other voices that don't care and will do what ever it takes to bring that voice down.

Now more often than not, when you happen to see someone that happens to be homeless and you are wondering what their story happens to be, you more often than not want to help them out but not sure what to do, well unless they happen to be a drug user (and happen to be addicted and don't want to quit, well they're screwed in that case) then right there there's not going to be much you're going to be able to do for them. But if you can, try to find out what's really going on. More often than not, they want to be left alone and not taken pity on, but at the same time they want a roof over their head, but they can't get one for various reasons. I personally want to get a home to live in with Miramonte, our son Ryan and myself, but with how the price is going these days for renting (and the need for a credit check which I can never pass), getting a place is going to require me to get my book published before that ever happens.

If you would like to see me in person before I head off to work, I always post on Facebook as to where I happen to be each morning. Come see me and talk to me, I'm always not only willing to be a friend, but an ear that one might need. And if you can only talk online, well just check one of the links below and I'll get the message either way.

Ah who knows, it's all up to you either way dear reader, I just hope that you pick compassion and don't turn your head when someone really needs it.

Special Green Lantern/Young Justice edition

Now considering the fact that Young Jusitce doesn't have one (yet), I figured that for all of the Green Lantern fans out there, I would start this blog off with the oath (which I recite EVERY morning when I wake up and put my ring on, yes I own a Green Lantern ring :D)

"In Brightest Day,
In Blackest Night,
No Evil Shall Escape My Sight,
Let All Those Who Worship Evil's Might,
Beware My Power-
GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT!!!!!!"

Now, on to the matter at hand. (hehe) I was minding my own thing as I went online to check everything out this morning when I noticed in my Green Lantern group that I'm apart of (which is a Facebook group from the following site: http://www.blogofoa.com/), that Green Lantern is leaving us. Now that is something that I didn't think would actually happen, considering the fact that the show seriously hasn't been on that long, and the following is amazing. However when I read an article dealing with the entire thing (article), Cartoon Network is saying that they will continue to air the show, however if you look further down on the page, you'll notice that the production companies have stopped making both shows. The reason for this, it's because the shows weren't picked up for the next season and the rest of this season has already been rendered, recorded by voice, and waiting to air. However once that's done, it's over as in Game Over end of lives, do not pass go and collect your cash bonus.

Now hold the bloody phone here (and yeah I was holding my cell when I read that article, in the middle of texting my wife when I read that article), this had instantly reminded me of yet another show that went through the same damned problem that Green Lantern and Young Justice are currently facing right now (however GL has only been on the air for one season, while Young Justice has been on the air for a couple of them), and that show was a live action show that aired decades ago back when things were WAY different than they are now, that show was called Star Trek, and the ones that produced that show (the studio and CBS, not the ones working the show, why would the ones working the show want to end their own jobs?) were wanting to kill the show because the rating weren't there, at least not during the first season. However the show did get picked up for the second season when the fans just about stormed CBS back then and wanted to kill the CEO's running the joint (now that would've been a sight had they all gotten Red Lantern rings right as they're about to hit the place, that would've made news right there). So Star Trek got picked up for a second season and things were going great, however (and you knew that this was coming too), the ones running things at CBS still wanted to get rid of the show (of course it didn't help things that certain episodes back then were for their time a major taboo back then, like the first interracial kiss that didn't actually happened, even though they filmed it two different ways, and one of those ways was the actual kiss too). However the fans once again were able to save the show, though just barley. The only kicker was that they were not able to save the show after season 3. Now there is a plus side to that entire thing, it turned out after that when they looked at a different set of demographics for the show, it turned out that the show was getting the ratings needed to stay on the air for a couple of more years (and I bet they just kicked themselves in the ass for that there too, hehe).

Now with Young Justice and Green Lantern, I know that CN has only allotted one hour for the DC comics line up and so they have to make room for other shows that are going to be getting put on there,...wait a minute, why the hell only an hour when Adult Swim gets more than that each night. Wouldn't it be far better if they expanded that hour to longer, to not only include Green Lantern The Animated Series and Young Justice, but to also include the new shows that would be getting aired, I mean now that Star Wars has moved over to Disney XD (where it's going to be slaughtered too by the way), that would leave room open for more DC programs to get on there. Personally I would love seeing live action DC titles, but I know that it takes more money to produce live action than it does hand drawn or CG. But this could seriously work out, I'm just wondering if anyone over at CN has bothered to think of this instead of those crappy shows that they happen to air outside of the DC Nation line up (and yeah they are crappy, what were they thinking with those shows right there).

I know for a bloody fact that their viewer ship will end up dropping once they start to change things up, as it did for the hiatus...wait there was a hiatus? Yeah didn't you know that, that's what lead to the precursor for this all happening in the first place, they pull a show off the air, don't even run it in reruns and the ratings go down to the point where when the show does come back they can move it with no problems at all. After all, no one wanted to watch the show that was aired in Green Lanterns place (so last I heard), and just about everyone tried catching the show from iTunes when they could, but in the end, it wasn't enough for CN to do what they had planned the entire time. It's like the Anti-Monitor is running the whole show over there and can't wait to get rid of Green Lantern and Young Justice, just to make room for other DC shows instead of airing them all together in a longer expanded time slot for all of them, plus it would also help deal with this Invasion situation that Young Justice is also going through right now as well. After all, our main heroes are off world, and the world leaders have made a deal with an alien devil through future president Lex Luthor.

All in all, what Cartoon Network is doing is all well and fucked up beyond anything that anyone could ever begin to think about, and they're not thinking about their fans that actually watch the channel (they never were), they're only thinking of their shareholders and what they want to have aired instead. This really bloody well sucks

In with the New Year, Gone with the Old Year

There has been a lot that has taken place over the past year, and this will be the final entry for the year 2012 (I was just going to leave it as final entry, but I didn't know if those that actually read this blog would actually get that at all), and believe me, we've seen way more than any other year around. Amazing year for movies, and on the political side (of which I'm only going to mention this once only and not posting on the political side this time), we've seen one of the biggest fights for the White House that we've ever seen, I'm honestly thrilled that things have turned out the way that they have.

Entertainment wise, we've seen some amazing movies, including the blockbuster smash "The Avengers", of which no one could topple. We saw a new Spider-Man come onto the scene, and a Batman trilogy come to an end, with previews of new movies to come for the new year which look amazing, a few new books that have come out and new authors that have emerged onto the scene, and even one character that met her end, and a demi God going to the Greek version of hell only to be continued in a next book. Yes there have been a lot of things that have happened during this past year.

On the person side, this year marks when my wife and I fully got back together and I left a hell of city behind that is Fresno (where the police shoot first and ask questions never), and came to live with her (though that part is still being worked on right now) in the city she lives in right now. Got my own computer laptop system and even got a couple of fictional blogs up and running and keeping them more up to date. Got back in touch with a lot of my friends in person from high school, and still trying to set up that reunion. Still have one person left that I need to get back in touch with, but I have a feeling that won't happen till the new year happens, much to my dismay :(. There's been a lot that's taken place.

There is one thing that I'm going to be doing as a multi part series (though I really don't know if I had started it, but oh well), and that is I'm going to be writing on this blog about my entire life past history. I've got a partial photographic memory (of which my mother doesn't believe that I happen to have though I've proven it several times in the past), and I have to live with all of those memories and I think that it's about time that I wrote everything down and shared them with everyone that actually does read this. Who knows, you might find something out that you never knew before. However I'm not going to go into minute details since that's never needed at all. But from the day that I was born in Stoughton, Ma all the way to now, I'm going to be covering. However for any of the gaps that are in there, that's for reasons where the people or persons would rather didn't get revealed, so those will be getting left out (sorry but that's where I don't want to be hit for libel right there, though I don't know if one can be hit for libel from a blog?).

Anyway, this year has been a big one, and I don't think that the hits will stop coming at all, so let's kick it into the new year with a bang, but make sure that bang isn't one that kills someone, after all we all know that at the stroke of midnight, guns are always fired off, never fails at all.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!

A tragedy that will never be forgotten

I didn't hear about it till after I got off work, but now it's the only thing that you hear about anywhere (aside from what's happening this Friday), if anything it tells you that this country happens to have a one track mind when we're over whelmed with something that takes place and makes us take a good look at ourselves. However for those of you that do read this blog, you'll notice that this is both on the My World side, as well as the political side. Personally I know that one shouldn't cross the sides, but the problem in our country is that those in politics that have not offered up condolences for the families that were involved in this tragedy, have seen something that they can be able to grasp onto and starting hitting up like crazy. I know who those types are, and they're making me sick to my stomach (and that's really hard to do these days), and I know that they're just going to do the blame game the entire time.

Problem is not in how the guns are sold or the ID's that are needed or the background checks, or the mental health state of mind, in truth it's not any one of those things, it's all of that and more combined. However saying that we need to have tighter regulations on guns won't do a damned thing, after all those tighter regulations (doesn't matter if they happen to be at the store or a bloody gun show), will only deal with the guns being sold legally, there's an entire section of gun being sold illegally, and there's no way in the world to regulate that. It's called the Black Market. Now we could always do what they did in MacGuyver and that is ship the firing pins outside of the shipment of the guns and make sure that they're never shipped together. However the problem with that are the guns that already have the pins in the guns that are stolen and resold on the Black Market as well, that's where you have another problem right there.

So in truth, you have no way to completely deal with the guns that find their way into something like this. Plus what also doesn't help is that you have the NRA making sure that the regulations never get tightened even further than they are right now. Plus every time that there's a Presidential election (doesn't matter if it happens to be a reelection or a new President coming in), the first thing that always comes up is dealing with the guns right off the bat. I've seen it for each and every single election that has taken place, and it actually gets tiring to see and hear after a while. After all this past election the nut cases came out and said that Obama was going to be taking gun rights away, in truth he actually had zero intention on doing that at all. However now that something like this has happened, he will be expected to do something, question is what will he do?

Personally for me I have no answers, I honestly wish that I did, but for something like this from a writers stand point, all I can think of is just going back in time and stopping this from ever happening. Problem with this (and mind you I write science fiction), aside from the fact that I can't do it anyway, is that once something like this made media attention as big as it's gotten, it becomes in the rules a red flag zone, meaning that it can't be changed no matter how badly one wants to do it, it's called playing God and that's entirely against the rules in real life, no one can be Him no matter how much we try.

Though on that note, there is one church that thinks they really know the Word of God, and yet they have no bloody "F"ing clue (trying to keep the blog mostly clean here), after all this baptist church has sported posters that says "God loves dead babies", and that "God hats fags" (both of which I really don't like here), and so forth. These people have zero clue to the Word of God, which I honestly believe (and have stated to friends, and might've mentioned once or twice on this blog) has to be understood with the mind of a child, after all the mind of a child is still learning and has a better understanding when it comes to learning everything that they need to learn. Just like I tell my mother (or at least try to tell her), Matthew 18:21-22 (please look it up since I really don't want to write it down here, and besides it might be written differently for your Bible compared to mine), that one must always forgive no matter what. If God forgives everyone of everything no matter what we've done in our lives, then we must do the same. I tried telling my mother that (considering that I had forgiven my wife of everything that she had done against me), and she says that there  are those that can never be forgiven, and that she doesn't think that I'm understanding the passage correctly. Problem on her end is that she wants to understand the Bible with the mind of an adult (she even has a Bible for Dummies book at her place), you can't you can read it with the eyes of an adult, but then you must understand it with the mind of a child, it's the only way that you can. After all Jesus told his followers that they must be like that of a child in order to understand and enter the kingdom of God. Now personally I don't like religion at all period, yes I'm Christian, but I have a faith, not a religion. Religion was created to control others, and to make sure that they don't have free will, but a true faith not only has free will, but a better understanding of everything around them, and a mind to think with.

The GOP (and Republicans in politics in general) don't like the thought of having people around them with a free will and minds of their own, that's why they use religion to try to bring everything under their thumb. However these days people are throwing off the shackles of the controlling GOP and religious institutions out there and making sure that they have a mind of their own and voice of their own to speak with. Only problem is, the GOP refuses to listen to what the people really want and are refusing to do anything that they need to for the country. Instead, they're trying to make sure that they ones that are paying them are getting what they want and not the middle and lower classes. It's made for a completely corrupt government on their side, and the belief is bleeding over to the Dems who aren't taking any money (however if they are, I don't know about it and that's a fact).

Believe me this is something that is going to be fought over for the longest time, and there doesn't seem to be an end light to any of this at all. I wish honestly that there was.

This past VERY WET weekend

This past weekend we saw more rain here in the Bay Area then I could ever remember since back in the early to mid 90's, and that's saying something, considering that just this past Sunday (12/02/12), we went right through a major bad spot, and as you all know, I happen to be homeless and even my temp tent couldn't almost handle what happened that night. Hell after I got out and pulled it all down for the day, my pants went from being blue jeans to black jeans and I was just completely soaked through and through, I had to change into the spare clothes that I was planning on changing into at work sooner than I had thought, believe me, this wasn't something that I was even looking forward to at all when it came to the rain. Even the umbrella that a firefighter had given to me at work broke because of the high winds that were blowing through that morning. Had to buy another one, along with an entire rain suit that I now have for when it rains yet again, plus this means that I will be out in the rain working even when it does rain period.

What doesn't help is that one of the support rods for my tent actually broke towards the end , I did try to fix it, but it wasn't that good of a fix considering that the duct tape that I bought wouldn't stay in place, however the scotch tape I also bought did help some. The only thing is, I'm wondering if I'm going to have to a get whole new tent setup because of the rod, I really hope not, these past two weeks thanks to Thanksgiving and the rain have done hell to my paycheck which I now get at the store via mail only from now on period. However thanks to two of the days that I got screwed over, I was able to write up two more parts for the opening of the Ninja Chronicles: The Return, and I will be continuing to work on that series since I have more people to two more people to bring in, one of whom (spoiler alert) will be stuck in two different time lines. However I'm not going to say the names of the characters that I'm going to bring in at all. Besides I've also got another series that I'm going to be bringing out, one that I've been working on long before a certain movie came out, however it's based in the modern up to date world of today. When I've gotten everything worked out (namely the opening part written up), then I'll be introducing everyone to the new story blog that I'll be putting out. Hope that you will all like it in the end.

Well when you happen to go by my work, considering that we've only got two weeks left at the place (or so it seems, I really don't know any more), when it happens to be raining and you go by the place, and you see someone out there in a green suit, that'll be me, please don't just honk, wave, and then keep driving by, please stop in and check things out, plus if you sing up with them, when we move, they'll let you know where we move to (along with me as well I hope). So come on, check the place out.

Hopefully this week turns out to be waaay better than last week that's for sure.
