Now I know that I said that I was going to get this written up yesterday, but the high that I've had from watching the movie even now still hasn't ended in the least right now, and I'll tell you all this, if I had the money I'd be going to see it several times right now it was that great.
Now mind you the best way to see this movie is in 3-D, because other wise you lose something with the 2-D, namely all of the action is just gone with the 2-D unlike the 3-D that you keep it with.
Well with this movie, it not only is the first of it's kind where it takes several different characters coming from they're own movie franchises, but combines them up into one giant movie and never stops even there. This is one movie that just takes it right to the hilt and just doesn't stop in the least, plus it shows us a full Marvel world that is only going to get bigger. Now I know that I've said this before, but DC and Warner could learn from this since they were the ones that were constantly saying that something like this just wouldn't work, well this weekend with a 2.8 million opening is shattering records and it continues to do so and it's being estimating that this could be the first movie that actually breaks the billion mark on ticket sales.
From the different characters that are in this movie, Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Hawk Eye, and Black Widow, I do that Cap, Iron Man and Thor will be getting more movies coming out, that and there will be another Avengers movie. In all seriousness this is one movie that you really should go see, it's got action and humor galore, and it's the one movie that you see that's an action movie that actually for once proves the old adage wrong, you don't need sex to sell a movie, after all there wasn't one bit of any kind of sex at all in this entire movie (unless you want to count Black Widows costumes, but she never takes them off, so that's kind of hard to count right there).
Just check the movie for your self, and stick around for after the end 3-D credits (before it goes over to 2-D again), and you'll get a very famous Marvel surprise waiting at the end of the movie.

Nice review. Jam-packed full of action, humor, special effects, and superheroes, The Avengers is the perfect way to start off the Summer blockbuster season. I hope that Whedon returns for the sequel that they're talking about doing, but then again, it may be another 4 years until we get to see that again. I wonder what will be a bigger flick this Summer: this or The Dark Knight Rises? Can't wait to see that one either!
ReplyDeleteWell we've got two superhero movies other than Avengers that will be coming out right now, both Amazing Spider-Man and Dark Knight Rises, however from what I'm finding out, Amazing Spider-Man and Dark Knight are both doing things that no one has ever realized. The only thing is I haven't actually read anything, I'm just figuring all this out from what I had seen from the trailers when I had gone to see The Avengers.
ReplyDeleteFor the Dark Knight it seems that it's bringing Knight Fall to life from the comics, which I think is going to be great, since I read that series and loved it. The question is though will they bring anyone else into the movie other than Cat Woman who goes (from what I had seen in the trailer) from criminal to hero and fights on Bats side.
Then there's Amazing Spider-Man, and there's several changes from the Sam Raimi movies to this one, and two of them are the artifical web shooters, and the fact that we'll have more talking coming from Spider-Man this time around than from the last time, We heard one quip while he was in the mask and that was during Spider-Man 2 when the bag of coins got flung at Spider-Man, he hit it with a web line and threw it right back saying "Hey, here's your change." and that was the only line that he ever said. This movie has got them left and right, and I honestly can't wait to see it either.
