Halloween time

It's that time of the year once again, the time when all of the stores out there start carrying the candy in one HUGE section, and Spirit Halloween store make their appearance (at least before they become the Christmas store that they transform into after Halloween has come and gone). When kids and their parents dress up as different characters or creatures and walk around the neighborhood trick or treating for candy.

Now I'm not advertising for anyone (since I didn't put any link to the Spirit store mentioned above), but this is a time of year when we look in awe at the different costumes that are out there and see what's changed over the years. Personally I'm dressing up as Green Lantern, using the costume from the movie, yet the mask of Kyle Rayner from the comics (can't stand the Hal Jordan mask). Which means that when I get the costume that I've ordered you'll more than likely see me out there on the sidewalk dressed as the Green Lantern but for a time with the Hal Jordan mask. My only problem that I'll have out there is that I won't be able to see that well out there since I have to wear glasses, and I won't be wearing them with the mask at all, so even if you honk and wave, I'll wave back towards what I mostly see and hear, but I won't be able to tell who it happens to be at all. Sorry.

However this should be a time for kids and families to have fun, and the one thing that I've been noticing is a lot of warnings and scarings out there about how you need to watch out for those that wish to do harm. Well on this day, yes there's going to be kids going around getting candy from different houses, but common sense also tells us that they're not going to be going out there alone, they're going to be with a family member that's going to be keeping an eye on them. However there are a lot of people out there that don't have common sense these days, and out of lack of choice, a lot of them are in our government, however I'm not going towards them when it comes to this entry, I'll save that for the politics.

Just remember that everyone is just trying to have fun that night, and that we should watch out for everyone that's out there and make sure that everyone is well taken care of.
