I figured that I would only have one thing to write about today, and that would be the tsunami from Japan that happened this morning, yeah right looks like I was wrong on that note. As I'm coming to where I write this blog up, I caught a hold of the Fresno Bee's front page and low and behold what do I end up seeing that, an article dealing with the Labor unions getting hit the hardest (http://www.fresnobee.com/2011/03/11/2305375/wis-defeat-could-help-launch-counterattack.html). Now personally I'm not all that big on what some of the unions do (namely since I was with one for the nearly two months that I worked for Foster Farms here in Fresno), but I can understand and agree with them being needed, after all they are the voice of those that can't normally speak up. However with what he had just done, that's what I call just plain wrong, and then to say that they were just doing what the people wanted, well sorry to tell you, but that's not what the people wanted. If you get elected into office and are trying to do what the people wanted, well you don't just listen to them during the election and then cut them off after you're in office, that only means that you had your own agenda and to hell with everyone one else, no you keep listening to them even when they start gathering in very huge groups right out side your office and start shouting (which as everyone knows is what people have been doing). Sorry to say but this move right here is just another one of the many bone headed moves that the newly elected Republicans are constantly blaming the Democrats for, but then it keeps going back and forth like crazy and there never seems to be an end to either. I'm sorry but to say that you're doing what the people wanted, hate to tell you this, but the people didn't want you to strip their voice away. Personally I do honestly believe that that governor should be recalled out of office there, question is though, unlike California does that state even have a recall at all?
However that entire event pails in comparison to what happened on the eastern side of the Pacific with the 8.9 Earthquake that hit the area. We're now trying to get ready in case the tsunami comes towards California now. I may live in Fresno which is in the Central Valley of California, but we could still be hit in ways that wouldn't be by water at all. Yes I know that the Central Valley is surrounded by mountains on both sides, but that doesn't matter in the least, it would mean that roads would get closed, along with businesses and airports as well, we're talking about a bit of chaos here. Of course the one major group that would be going on (and I know that I'm going to have to go through it tonight at the Fresno Rescue Mission), is the church groups out there calling this the end times, that we must be saved before we lose our lives, well personally I'm already saved, but I still live my life the way that I would like to live it and don't try to force others to try to get into something that they don't want to, that's why it's called free will for a reason. However I do know that they're going to be capping on how God is wiping out the non-believers in Christ, and that we should be getting ready for the end times. I'm eventually going to be doing a piece on the Church out there, but that's not going to be in this one, but I do know that the religious sharks are in the water and they smell blood BIG TIME!
Honestly I do know that the clean up right now in Japan is going to be huge, and I know that the death toll is also up there, namely since they haven't been able to put a number to it in the least right now, but eventually we will know how many it will be. I've been seeing news footage of all the wreckage that's coming from over there, and it's not pretty in the least, but then again something like this never is. I honestly wish that there was something that I could do, but out of lack of choice there is nothing that I can do at all. All I can do for the time being is keep watching and praying and that's it. For now though, for those that can't really do anything, that's all we can do is just pray (and not like how the religious nuts want it do be done).
